Does vomiting during fasting break it and require a makeup day?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftisays.com
asalam o alikum warahmatulahi wabarakatuh.

does a persons fast break if they sick/puke in their fast? or is it just makruh? and will the person have to keep it on another day? are they allowed to eat after they felt sick/puked up.. (they never sick/puked up on purpose) plz reply soon. jazak Allah.

Answer
Bismihi Ta’ala

If the vomit is a mouthful and a person were to swallow even a little of it intentionally then his fast will brake and he will have to make it up after Ramadhan.
If a person intentionally vomits a mouthful by entering a finger down his throat, etc, then his fast will brake regardless of whether he swallowed any or not.

If the vomit is not a mouthful then his fast will not brake. (Ahsanul Fataawa)
