What is the Islamic riddle mentioned in the Quran and used by men daily?

I have recived this islamic riddle in an email and was hoping for an awnser:
I am dark at night and bright during the morning. I am mentioned 5 times in the quraan. I start with the letter m (Meem in arabic) and men use me 3 times a day while women once in a life time. I am halaal to drink but not to eat. What am I?

We have heard of this riddle before, various answers have been posed. Nevertheless, Muslims have wasted a lot of time over solving this riddle which apparently does not have any fixed or certain answers.
