Does stopping a recording during salah invalidate it?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftisays.com
Aslam alaikum
during the isha and magrib salah I like to record the imams voice now in the 3rd rakah as there is no recitation just before performing the sajdah for the second rakah the recording machine is in front of me I press the stop button to stop recording this is to save space as this is a MP3 player that does not have a lot of memory so to save space where there is no recitation I press the stop button just before my forehead touches the ground does this invalidate my salah
please explain and provide evidence
jazakallah wasalam

Al-jawab billahi at-taufeeq (the answer with Allah’s guidance)

The Salaah is valid. However, keeping such a device in salaah where you would have to operate it though with very minor actions is indeed reprehensible, since this is not related to your Salaah and will obviously divert your attention from Allah Ta’ala. Therefore, you should totally refrain from this practice in Salah.

And Only Allah Ta’ala Knows Best.
