Is it prohibited to remove hair during nifaas and why is it makrooh?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftisays.com
i have read somewhere that during nifaas, it is prohibited to remove hair, i understand the same rule applies during menses, but am ok with that, just find it bit hard to understand that that if it is true, that to remove hair during nifaas is makrooh that’s a long time to go being unclean, considering you are to remove hair before they become longer than a grain of rice. generally.i have read every book possible to find the answer and i cannot find it, please help as soon as possible

Answer
Assalamu’alaikum w.w.

It is makrooh (undesirable/reprehensible) to remove
hair or cut the nails during Janaabat. (In a state of
impurity/when ghusl in incumbent).

A maximum time limit of forty days has been imposed
for removing pubic hair. Therefore, it will be
permissible (without any reprehensibility)for a woman
in Nifaas to remove her pubic hair if it reaches a
duration of 40 days.

Wallahu A’alam
