What does “Shaving off the deen” in the Hadith mean?

Q: It says in the Ahadeeth that hasad and bugdh shave off the deen. What have the ulama written under the commentary of shaving off the deen?

A: Shaving off the Deen means to destroy one’s Deen.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
