Is Kissing and Placing the Qur’an on Forehead Allowed?

Q: I see people after reciting Qur’an that they kiss it and place it against their foreheads. Is this permissible?

Bismillaah

A: Yes. This is done out of respect.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.

وعن أبي ملكية قال كان عكرمة بن أبي جهل وكان يأخذ المصحف فيضعه على وجهه ويقول كلام ربي كلام ربي رواه الطبراني مرسلا ورجاله رجال الصحيح (مجمع الزوائد #16049)
