Contagious diseases

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: Is there any reference from Hadith about contagious diseases (spreading from one person to another). Huzoor (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) said that there is no disease which is a contagious one. I hear this Hadith from some one. If there is any Hadith then please tell me as there are volumes of books being written on this topic and how we can defend this topic according to Islam that there is no contagious diseases?

Bismillaah
