The Significance of Durood Akbar and Other Durwood in the Quran

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: What is the purpose/significance of durood Akbar (Allahumma Salli Ala muhamadin Sayyid ul mursaleen) as well as other Durwood found in the last pages of the smaller version of the quran.

A: It is best to recite those duroods that come from Nabi (sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) himself. Some of the other duroods are not authentic and some of the words are not right as well.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
