Being concerned over one’s ownself

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: How can a person who tries his best to keep away from sins convince himself that he is the most bad person in this world when he sees people
around him are sinning openly? I humbly request your advice in this regard so that I can have a pure heart free from all sort of roohani diseases like
thakabbur etc.

A: Don’t engage your mind and your eyes in the actions and behaviour of people. Be more concerned of yourself. The more you will be concerned of yourself and look at your weaknesses you will understand your weaknesses and wrongs and the extent of the wrongs.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
