Q: We hear in jamaat bayaans that Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam and sahabah made effort on imaan for 9 to 13 years, sometimes we hear 11 to 13 years, before salaah and other commandments came down. What should one say, 9, 11, 13, years effort of imaan was made before the commandments came down from Allah?
A: The effort of imaan was made throughout his mubaarak life and the command of namaaz was from the very beginning.
