Is Earning from Instrumental Dancing Haram?

Q: I am a boy and I dance on instrumental music only and my form of Dancing is waving and stunts and it does not contain any vulgar and obscene Dance moves and it is just simple movement of hands and legs and I am a solo Dancer so there is no mingling of sexes involved in it. My question is that if I earn by dancing on music will all my earnings be considered haram. If I consume that earning will it be a major sin?

A: It is haraam in Islam to dance whether with musical instruments or not. The earnings you obtained through dancing is impermissible. You should give the wealth you acquired through dancing in sadaqah without the intention of receiving reward. You should immediately make tawbah and repent to Allah Ta’ala for this sin and make a firm resolve that you will never return to it in the future.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
