Performing Umrah as a Youth: My Mistakes and Questions about Dams

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: I once performed umrah when I was baaligh in my early stages. Me and my grandparents had entered makkah without being in ihram and also I did not wear proper shoes in ihram however all of this was unkowingly as I had not yet been thaught that. Should I still pay a dam and what should one do if one cannot afford a dam?

A: The dam is compulsory. Slowly try and collect the amount and send the money for the dam to be performed.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
