Discharge before and after haidh

Q: I get my haidh for 10 days. But I get discharges before and after my haidh. I get discharges before 15 days of tuhr is complete then I get my haidh for 10 days (I bleed for about 5-6 days and I get discharges till the 10th day). After the 10th day I still get discharges. There are few days in between that I don’t get discharges but most of the time I get discharges. My question is how do I count my haidh? I was told I have to count 10 days haidh 20 days tuhr  and I must re-calculate from the 1st time I got my haidh as 20 days and 10 days, but as soon as I get a clean tuhr I will get my habit from there. I cannot recall having a clean tuhr. I was also told if I bleed during the 20 days even if it is after 15 days it will not be regarded as haidh but istihazaa. Only after 20 days will my haidh start and it will be for 10 days even if I don’t bleed or even if I am clean (no discharge, blood, ect) what is the ruling? Is this 20 days 10 days thing right?

A: If your original habit was 20 and 10 then you should revert to your original habit.

Q: Regarding my last questions I want to know if after 20 days I am clean no discharges, no bleeding, completely clean must I still regard it as my haidh period. And during these 10 days if I am clean and it will be regarded as haidh then after these 10 days if I bleed then it will be istihaaza. Maaf but I need to understand this well.

A: You should continue counting as 10 days and 20 days.

And Allah Ta`ala knows best.

Q: Regarding my last question I don’t have a habit. I get discharges all the time. I never had a clean tuhr. Should I still count 20 days and 10 days? Or 15 days and 10 days? Or after 15 days when I start to bleed it will be haidh?

A: If it is that you bleed and stop in between and it continued then you must count all those days as haidh.

And Allah Ta`ala knows best

Q: Maaf but I was counting my haidh as I was told [ie 20 days and 10 days]. But it was happening like this that in the 10 days that I was counting as my haidh I was completely clean maybe just 1-2 days of discharges but no bleeding. And after these 10 days that was supposed to be my haidh I was bleeding like how I bleed during haidh [ie I bleed for about 5-6 days and then till the 10th day its discharges]. So I want to know should I count the time when I bleed like my normal haidh as haidh or should I count 20 days and 10 days as my haidh.

A: If your habit recently was to bleed for five or six days, then consider this as your haidh and regard the spotting or discharge that comes out later on (which surpasses the ten days) as istihaazah.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
