Q: Can I do my homework while I am reading Qur’an or saying astaqfurulah etc. or while I am watching something? Or I have to feel and follow the words I am saying?
A: Whilst doing homework you can remember Allah Ta’ala. This is of a permissible nature. However watching a video in itself is impermissible. Then to take the name of Allah Ta’ala over that is even worse. This can be resembled to eating pork and reciting Bismillah before partaking of it. Isn’t that disgusting?
And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
