Navigating a Maternal Grandmother’s Inheritance with Two Daughters and One Sister

Q: My maternal grandmother died. She had two daughters only (both alive). Grandmother has one sister. How will the warasat of deceased be divided?

A: The estate will be divided into three equal shares and distributed as follows:

Each daughter will receive one share

The sister will receive one share

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
