Ulema’s Ruling on Bringing Children to the Musjid

Q: What is the ruling of the ulema regarding bringing children to the musjid?

A: It is not right to bring such small children to the musjid who cannot behave themselves and create a disturbance in the functions of the musjid.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.

ويحرم إدخال صبيان ومجانين حيث غلب تنجيسهم وإلا فيكره

قال الشامي : قوله ( ويحرم الخ ) لما أخرجه المنذري مرفوعا جنبوا مساجدكم صبيانكم ومجانينكم وبيعكم وشراءكم ورفع أصواتكم وسل سيوفكم وإقامة حدودكم وجمروها في الجمع وجعلوا على أبوابها لمطاهر بحر (رد المحتار 4 1/ 656)
