Is Removing Facial Hair Haraam?

Q: I have a question regarding removing facial hair. Is it haraam to remove upper lips and chin hair?

A: It is permissible. However the present trend of women going to beauty parlours where a lot of sin takes place through women exposing those parts of their bodies which are impermissible to expose is against the teachings of Islam. If a woman has a definite need, then she may remove her facial hair within the confines of her home.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
