Q: I am engaged to a guy who is a revert. I made istikhaara a few weeks ago and yesterday morning after I performed salatul Fajr I dreamt that the guy I am engaged to was talking on the phone with another girl, and after I heard him and asked him if he was cheating on me he said yes. Now I don’t know what to do, is this a sign from Allah? Should I not marry the guy or wait for more signs?
A: Consult with your parents and do not do anything against their mashwarah. After an investigation and seeking reference on the boy, if your parents are pleased with the boy’s condition, piety, commitment to Deen, character, mannerisms, etc. then you may get married to him.
And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
