Is Not Acting on Positive Thoughts Due to Shaitaan’s Tricks a Result of Taqdeer?

Q: At times we get positive thoughts for example to give in charity / or visit a sick person but due to whatever reason (most probably due to tricks from shaitaan) we do not put it into action and later we regret having not carried out that act. Does this situation come under Taqdeer (predestination)?

A: Whatever transpires is recorded in taqdeer. Your intending to do good deeds is also written in taqdeer. Allah Ta’ala has given man an equal choice and ability to carry out righteous deeds or evil deeds. Hence, one should not justify one’s sins through taqdeer or blame taqdeer for not carrying out good actions.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
