A: Under the verse ‘Qad jaa’akum rasuluna ubayyinu lakum `ala fatrah’ (Surah Maa’idah, 19) Hadhrat Mufti Muhammad Shafee` (rahmatullahi alaih) quotes from Imaam Bukhaari (rahmatullahi alaih) that the interval between Esa (alaihis salaam) and Nabi (sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) was six hundred years and there was no nabi between them.
