Practicing Salaah: Balancing Home and Mosque

Q: My house is about one bus stop away from the mosque, which is about 10 mins walk. So, when I’m home, I do the salaah at home and sometimes go to the mosque. Please advise.

A: You should go to the musjid.

عن عبد الله بن عمر أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال صلاة الجماعة تفضل صلاة الفذ بسبع وعشرين درجة (صحيح البخاري رقم 645)

عن انس بن مالك قال قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه و سلم من صلى لله أربعين يوما في جماعة يدرك التكبيرة الأولى كتبت له براءتان براءة من النار وبراءة من النفاق (جامع الترمذي رقم 241)

عن أبي هريرة، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: لقد هممت أن آمر فتيتي أن يجمعوا حزم الحطب، ثم آمر بالصلاة فتقام، ثم أحرق على أقوام لا يشهدون الصلاة . (جامع الترمذي رقم 217)

عن علي ، قال : لا صلاة لجار المسجد إلا في المسجد ، قال : قيل له : ومن جار المسجد ؟ قال : من أسمعه المنادي . (المصنف لابن ابي شيبة رقم 3488)
