Q: I recently came across a website (www.justplay.co.za). on this website one can enter competitions by answering questions. the problem is that most questions are relating to insurance companies, etc.
A: If these competitions are hosted by insurance companies, then insurance companies are based on riba and qimaar (interest and gambling). Hence, their gifts will be the same.

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِنَّمَا الْخَمْرُ وَالْمَيْسِرُ وَالْأَنصَابُ وَالْأَزْلَامُ رِجْسٌ مِّنْ عَمَلِ الشَّيْطَانِ فَاجْتَنِبُوهُ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ ﴿المائدة: ٩٠﴾
