Inheritance Entitlement: How to Divide Percentages in a Scenario

Q: Please could you advice in the following scenario, what percentage would be the entitlement for each:

Husband passed away: Leaving behind £60,000.00

Inheritors:

  • 2 Daughters
  • Wife
  • Mother
  • Father

A: The estate will be divided into 27 equal shares and distributed as follows:

  • The 2 daughters will receive 8 shares each
  • The wife will receive 3 shares
  • The mother will receive 4 shares
  • The father will receive 4 shares

Hence the distribution of the monetary figures will be as follows:

  • The 2 daughters will receive £17 777,77 (each)
  • The wife will receive £6 666,66
  • The mother will receive £8 888,88
  • The father will receive £8 888,88
  • The remaining 4 pence will be given in charity with the consent of all the heirs.
