Q: To recite attahiyaat is waajib in the 1st sitting of 4 rakaats Salaah. If it is missed then sajdah sahw becomes waajib. Sometimes the Imaam recites the attahiyyaat very quickly and then stands up whilst many muqtadees have not finished their attahiyyaat. Should they follow the Imaam immediately or should they complete their attahiyyaat and then stand?
A: They should complete their attahiyaat and then stand.
إذا أدرك الإمام في التشهد وقام الإمام قبل أن يتم المقتدي أو سلم الإمام في آخر الصلاة قبل أن يتم المقتدي التشهد فالمختار أن يتم التشهد كذا في الغياثية وإن لم يتم أجزأه ولو تكلم الإمام قبل أن يفرغ المقتدي من التشهد فإنه يتم التشهد كما لو سلم ولو أحدث الإمام عمدا قبل فراغ المقتدي من التشهد تفسد صلاته هكذا في الخلاصة.
