Forgetting a phrase in the azaan

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: If during the Azaan, one forgets to call out a certain phrase, then what should one do?

Bismillaah

A: If one remembers during the Azaan or immediately upon completing the Azaan before speaking, then he should recite the phrase that he had forgotten and continue from that point (from the phrase that he had forgotten in order for the entire Azaan to be called out according to the sunnah sequence). However, if he remembers after completing the Azaan and he had spoken then he should repeat the Azaan from the beginning.

And Allah Ta’ala knows best.
