Performing Salalatud Dhuha and Sunnah ghair muakkadah in four rakaats

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q:

1. Do we pray Salatul Duha in pairs of 2 or 4 rakaats with one salam?

2. For the 4 rakaats sunnah before isha, do we pray in pairs or 4 rakaats with one salam and for the 4 rakaats after isha is that in pairs or 4 rakaats with one salam and what intention do we make for these 4 rakaats?

Bismillaah

A:

1. Both are permissible.

2. They are better with one salaam. All these are ghayr muakkadah.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
