Consummation of nikaah for halaalah to be valid

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: If a woman does halaalah and after her iddat, she makes nikkah with her first husband, is the nikaah valid?

Bismillaah

A: If the second husband consummates the nikaah and divorces her, after spending iddat, it will be permissible for the first husband to marry her.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
