Swallowing few drops of water while fasting

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: A small amount of water (approximately 2-3 drops) remains in my mouth after I gargle. If I swallow this water mistakenly during fasting, will my fast break? Will it break my fast if I swallow it knowingly?

Bismillaah

A: The Fuqaha have not taken this into consideration. Consider your fast to be valid.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
