Conveying the reward of Durood Shareef

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: I have heard from a scholar that the rewards that have been added to our account for reciting durood (salawaat) for Nabi (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) will not be distributed to others on the day of judgement, all the other ibaadat will get distributed accordingly… Is it correct?

Bismillaah

A: All the rewards are subject to the intention of the reciter. If he intends that the thawaab should reach others then it will reach, whether it is durood shareef or otherwise.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.

Q: Actually, I meant that when we reach the aakirah, if we did any sins to our brothers or sisters, will Allah take our ibaadat and distribute it to them, but the rewards achieved by us for reciting durood will not be distributed to them, it will remain with us?

Bismillaah

A: The acts of oppression will be repaid through all types of deeds.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
