Will telling one’s wife “Mujhe tumhare sath nahi rehna” constitute talaaq?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: During a fight with my wife, I said “Mujhe tumhare sath nahi rehna”. I came to know later on that this is a kinaya word of talaq and I am not sure about my niyat while saying these words. Can I redo my nikah to be on the safer side?

Bismillaah

A: These words are not words of talaaq.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
