Learning the translation and tafseer of the Quraan under the guidance of a righteous aalim

Q: Regarding the English translation of the Qur’an, I would like to know if “Word for Word Translation of the Qur’an – English by Dr. Shehnaz Shaikh & Ms. Kausar Khatri” is acceptable? I am looking for ones *not tasfir* that have Arabic and English with its translation.

Bismillaah

A: We have not come across this translation. It is important that tafseer and translation of the Qur’aan be learnt under the guidance of some experienced righteous aalim.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
