Saying sallallahu alaihi wasallam in salaah

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q:

1. When we read durood in namaz or in general we say Muhammad, so do we have to say sallallahu alaihi wasallam 4 times?

2. What are the rewards of just saying sallallahu alaihi wasallam, like how durood has its rewards?

Bismillaah

A:

1. In namaaz you will not read durood.

2. This is also a durood.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
