Becoming a Muslim to marry a Muslim woman

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: If a non-Muslim man wants to become a Muslim to marry a Muslim woman. So is that permissible? Will his intention change, even though he is willing to convert due to true love he has for a Muslim girl.

Bismillaah

A: With the type of corruption and wrong that is widespread we will not advise any muslim woman to marry with the promise that he will be prepared to accept Islam because most of the cases that we have come across prove that the marriage was not sincere. Eventually she has to live in the disbelief that he is consumed in and she feels very much reluctant to move away.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
