Having holiday sales

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: Is it permissible for businesses to keep holiday sales, not related to black friday or christmas, but just a holiday sale?

Bismillaah

A: Yes, it is permissible. However, as a precaution, abstain from having a sale during the kuffaar festive season so that you do not resemble the kuffaar in any way and you do not come under the purview of the following Hadith.

Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) has said, “The one who adds to the numbers of a certain group (engaged in wrong), will be counted among them in the sight of Allah Ta’ala, and the one who is pleased with the actions of a certain group will be regarded as equal and part of them in their actions.”

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
