Husband telling wife “You have lost all haq from me”

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: When a husband and I argue, he says to me “you have lost all haq from me” does this count as divorce? In no way does he mean that he is divorcing me.

Constantly when I argue with him and ask him for a divorce, to shut me up a few times he said “I will” as in I will give it.

I just wanted to know if divorce takes place.

Bismillaah

A: If he intends that he will not show you the love and care that he used to show then this will not be construed as divorce.

No divorce takes place with this.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
