Q: When a family makes a Quraan khatam, is it correct if one person makes all the sajdahs on completion of the khatam?
A: When one recites the aayat of sajdah or hears the aayat of sajdah being recited, sajdah becomes compulsory. It is better for one to perform the sajdah immediately, however, if one delays and performs the sajdah later on, then this is also permissible, however it is undesirable (makrooh-e-tanzihi). Hence, if one recited the entire Quraan and did not perform any sajdah, and he performed all the sajdahs upon the completion of the quraan, it is permissible.
If a whole family recited the entire Qur’aan together, each person should make the sajdah of each aayat of sajdah he recited. If others heard the aayat of sajdah, then accordingly they should make the sajdah for the number of aayats they heard.
And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
(وهو) أي سجود التلاوة (واجب) لأنه أمر صريح به أو تضمن استنكاف الكفار عنه أو امتثال الأنبياء وكل منها واجب (على التراخي) عند محمد ورواية عن الإمام وهو المختار وعند أبي يوسف وهو رواية عن الإمام يجب على الفور (إن لم تكن) وجب بتلاوته (في الصلاة) لأنها صارت جزءا من الصلاة لا يقضي خارجها فتجب فورية فيها وغيرها تجب موسعا (و) لكن (كره تأخيره) السجود عن وقت التلاوة في الأصح إذا لم يكن مكروها لأنه بطول الزمان قد ينساها فيكره تأخيرها (تنزيها) (مراقي الفلاح صـ 479)
وإذا أخر سجدة التلاوة عن وقت التلاوة أو عن وقت السماع ثم أداها يكون مؤديا لا قاضيا عندنا، فأداؤها ليس على الفور عندنا، وهل يكره تأخيره عن وقت القراءة؟ ذكر في بعض المواضع أن تأخيرها خارج الصلاة لا يكره، وذكر الطحاوي مطلقا أن تأخيرها مكروه. (الفتاوى التاتارخانية 2/481)
وأما سبب وجوب السجدة فسبب وجوبها أحد شيئين: التلاوة، أو السماع كل واحد منهما على حاله موجب فيجب على التالي الأصم والسامع الذي لم يتل (بدائع الصنائع 1/180)
