Covenants of the Bani Israeel

Q: Is it true that there was a covenant made with the people of Isa alaihis salaam that if they obeyed the commands of Allah, He will bless them with great bounties and if they didn’t, they will get a severe torment?

Bismillaah

A: Such covenants were taken from the Bani Israeel, and some of the Bani Israeel had accepted Isa (alaihis salaam).

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
