Reciting manzil in the state of haidh

Answered according to Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: I would like to know if it is permissible for a woman to read the manzil during haidh?

Bismillaah

A: It is permissible for a woman in the state of haiz to recite the manzil with the niyyat of dua and isti’aazah (seeking Allah Ta’ala’s Divine protection against jinn and shayateen). She should not recite the verses of the manzil with the intention of tilaawat as it is not permissible for a woman in the state of haiz to make tilaawat of the Quraan. The verses of the manzil can be recited for dua and isti’aazah  (seeking Allah Ta’ala’s Divine protection against jinn and shayateen). It is reported in a Hadith that Rasulullah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) had recited the verses of the manzil to treat a Sahaabi who was affected by the evil effects of the jinn and shayateen.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
