Going to Makkah from Jeddah without ihraam

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: I came to Saudi Jeddah to search for a job. I am planning to search for a job in Makkah. Can I go to Makkah without ihraam and search for a job and return to Jeddah without doing umrah?

Bismillaah

A: If you are within the meeqaat then you do not have to tie the ihraam in order to go to Makkah.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
