Will a non-Muslim who passes away while having knowledge of Islam still be a kaafir?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: If a non muslim is made known about islam and he is in doubt about his religeon. If he spends free time on useless things and doesn’t search about Islam and dies. Will he be regarded as a kafir?

Bismillaah

A: Until he has not totally declared his Islam he will not be counted as a muslim.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
