Manager not permitting worker to go for Jumuah Salaah

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: The problem is that my husband has gone to Bahrain for work after 2 years of our marriage and many hardships. Till now all was well, Alhamdulilaah, but since the last 4 months the manager of his company doesn’t give him holiday on Fridays as well as he also doesn’t allow him to go to jumma prayers. The manager is a non-Muslim. My husband tries to go for jumma by hiding but sometimes he can’t. Whats the ruling regarding this? According to shafee mazhab, whats the ruling or any solution regarding it? There is no masjid near to the place where he works. So he has to go some 15 to 20 mins by riding bicycle. We don’t want to go away from our deen..

Bismillaah

A: He should look for another job.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
