Building a musjid on a land given by a non-Muslim

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: Is it permissible to build a masjid on a land which is given by a non-Muslim?

Bismillaah

A: If a non Muslim wishes to donate a land to the Muslims with the intention of reward, and he does not expect anything in return, nor is there any fear of deception or problems arising in the future due to this donation, then it will be permissible to accept the land from the non Muslim and build a musjid upon it.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
