Q: I am a doctor and know a patient/girl has a mental illness which is serious enough to harm a relationship and her condition can be stable on lifetime medication. My friend is interested in this girl for her son’s marriage as her son likes her too. Should I inform my friend?
A: It may be better that you suggest to your friend that she should go to another physician and get it checked out. Thereafter they may decide.
