Can a Muslim Lose Imaan by Imitating Non-Muslims?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: If a Muslim imitates a non-Muslim saying ‘I am a kaafir/kaafirah’ (in a voice that is obviously not his/her own), does he/she lose Imaan? It was quite clear to the onlookers that he was not speaking about himself.

Bismillaah

A: He will be a kaafir.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
