Nikaah terminating after iddat

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: Am I still a married woman after my husband gave me talaaq-e-rajee? I completed my iddah, but he refuses to divorce me from our civil marraige.

Bismillaah

A: If your iddat has terminated and he did not revoke the talaaq during the iddat period, then you are out of his marriage. Hence, you are no longer his wife.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
