Smoking in Islam: Permissible or Prohibited?

Q: In Islam, is smoking cigarettes haram or not? If it is not haram then can a man smoke once or twice a week?

A: Although it is not haraam but it is not a desirable thing.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
