Will making a promise in the mind be binding?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: If someone makes a promise to Allah in his mind without verbally uttering it, will the promise be binding?

Bismillaah

A: Making an intention in the mind, does not constitute a vow or an oath.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
