Is My Mother-in-Law Excluding Me from the Family?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: According to my mum in law, she says that she does not have to keep the family together, meaning the daughter in laws. As long as her 4 sons talk to each other it is fine. Are the daughter in laws not part of the family?

Bismillaah

A: It is not her duty to see that the daughters in law meet each other. The daughters in law themselves can work this out as to how they will bond and show respect to each other for the sake of Allah.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
