Contacting the seller and offering him more

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: I would like to know the ruling regarding a person who contacts a seller of a property knowing well that someone else is busy negotiating to buy the property. Is it permissible for a person to approach the seller to offer him more to secure the deal? Will it be permissible for the seller to negotiate or sell the property to the “second buyer.”

Bismillaah

A: If the seller is showing interest in the first person’s offer then it is not right.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
