Correct procedure of slaughtering an animal

Q:

1. What is the correct way to slaughter an animal, especially a hen, in the right way?

2. What are the conditions for a slaughter or meat to be considered halal?

Bismillaah

A: To lay the hen or animal on its left. Face the qiblah and turn its head to the qiblah and slaughter it saying “Bismillah Allahu Akbar”. Ensure that three from the four main pipes of the throat are also severed.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
